I’m a barista.

How did you come to work at Black Sheep?

I fell in love with Black Sheep coffee after drinking it at Abode. I regularly stalked the Black Sheep Instagram account for a few months until they posted about a job... now here I am!

What does a typical day at Black Sheep look like for you?

A lot of banter, a bit of coffee making.

What do you love most about working at Black Sheep?

I love the space at the Roastery and the other staff. It’s hands down the most fun I’ve had at any job before.

What’s your go-to coffee order?

Flat white, mate. Any sugars? Noooo.

And what about your favourite style of roast/bean?

From Black Sheep, I love Feeling Woolly, especially the sweetness. When it comes to singles, I’ve definitely been enjoying the fruity aspects we’ve had coming through with the Honduras and the Indonesian.

Do you have a favourite type of drink to prepare? 

Medium cap-a-chini with two sugars… without the ice-cubes (or any other Rocklea Market coffee order).

What would we find you doing when you’re not at work?

Eating ramen.

What’s one of your earliest memories of coffee?

Earliest memories would be when my dad would order a flat white and us kids would have some of the foam off the top in milk. In hindsight, I think that was just a cheaper alternative to buying us each a coffee.

What’s something your customers might not know about you? 

I have an identical twin sister.
