Changing weekly, our single origin coffee brings the most exquisite and refined flavour profiles from all over the world. This week's chosen single origin bean is from the coffee growing region Chapada Diamantina, in the Bahia state of Brazil.  

This coffee from Brazil Airuma is fresh crop beans from the most recent season. The coffee is grown by the Borre Family, on a beautiful farm situated within the mountain range in the heart the Brazilian state of Bahia. Originally potato farmers, the Borre family decided to expand and diversify their land after their great potato farming success, realising the position of their farms and the environment conditions of good rainfall, rich soils, and high altitudes make it ideal for coffee growing. The family then invested in state-of-the-art equipment and infrastructure to ensure they were established and equiped to grown and process the best quality coffees.

This lot is selected from a plot of the land called Airuma named after the clear night skies.

Why we love it,

Our staff selected this coffee from the cupping table, enjoying its rich body, we knew would work perfectly though espresso based coffees. With notes of lime and stone-fruit brightness, it rounds nicely leaving chocolate and honey notes through the finish. Its a balance mild espresso, lifting nicely in long blacks, and very sweet when poured with white based coffees.
